Description
The Terrell Heritage Museum is the chosen venue for a unique exhibit celebrating the life of longtime Terrell resident, artist and art patron, Beverly Katherine Ownby Brittain (1927-2020). Curated by the Terrell Arts and Education Alliance (TAEA) and inspired by Brittain’s love of art, “Brushstrokes of Time: Kaufman County’s Artistic Legacies” will feature the work of ten exceptional--if not renowned, artists who have been a part of Kaufman County’s storied history over the last century.
Opening on Wednesday February 19, the exhibit will run through Saturday, March 1. Museum hours are Wednesday-Thursday, 10AM-4PM.
Included in this select group of artists are Otis Dozier, Frank Reaugh, Shelly Smith, Mildred Warlick, James McCord, Paul Tankersley, Julie Hamm Cox, Isabel Branson Cartwright, Mary Careen Spellman, Hazel Slayton and Beverly Brittain.
