Medication Assisted Treatment Nurse

Job Description:

This position functions as the clinic nurse in Lakes Terrell MH Clinic two (2) days each week and at the Rockwall MH clinic two (2) days each week.  This position will  be based in Terrell and will drive to Lakes Rockwall clinic.  Reimbursed day time travel within Lakes 10 county local service area and will be required to attend Lakes clinics and quarterly medical staff workgroups.

Position will be clinically supervised by Lakes Medical Director. Responsible for administering medication, measuring vital signs, performing medical assessments, observing urine specimen delivery and providing client education.  The Registered Nurse (RN) will be part of a team that provides respectful, supportive and non-judgmental environment for individuals in substance use disorder services.  MAT RN will not have supervisory duties.  

Responsibilities include daily documentation in electronic service records that support the community MH record system.  This position is a member of the clinical treatment team who participates in quality assurance activities and acts as a liaison with other community providers.  Knowledge of substance use disorders, diagnoses and treatment as well as knowledge of community mental health is necessary.  Candidate must be self-directed, have ability to communicate and work effectively in a fast-paced working setting, ability to plan, implement and prioritize assignments and skills necessary to problem solve and assess individual needs.

Salary: $5,583.33/monthly, $66,999.92/annually

Status: Exempt

Hours: 7:30 am - 6:30 pm (Mon-Thurs); Full-time 40 hours per week

Job Requirements:

Position requires a current Texas Registered Nurse license.  Experience in substance use disorder services and/or Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred.  Must have electronic health record experience and proficient computer skills, including MS Word and Outlook.  Must have a valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two (2) year's experience as a mental health RN.  Bilingual skills to include Spanish/English.
